LES: The gold standard for predicting noise emissions

Large Eddy Simulation (LES) is the gold standard for determining tonal sound emissions and broadband noise (e.g. due to turbulence, detachment and vortex shedding).

Fidelity CharLES scales excellently on CPUs and GPUs and masters complex geometries using Voronoi meshing. Typical use cases are: Fans and vehicles, propeller and rotor noise or nozzle and jet noise.

Simulate tonal noise quickly and accurately — with NLH

Nonlinear Harmonic (NLH) is a frequency-based method specially developed for turbomachinery to obtain reliable information on tonal peaks.

The advantage: With NLH you only calculate the relevant frequencies (high calculation efficiency!) and save a lot of time. The ideal method for periodic phenomena such as rotor-stator interactions in fans, compressors or turbines.
