In this video, we demonstrate how the <strong>Actuator Disk<\/strong> model in Fidelity Marine can be used to efficiently simulate realistic propeller-hull interactions. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The focus is on setting up a self-propulsion simulation in which the <strong>Actuator Disk<\/strong> is combined with an <strong>Open Water Curve (kT, kQ, J)<\/strong>. This method enables a realistic representation of the propeller forces without having to fully resolve the propeller\u2019s geometry.
