We are delighted to be taking part again this year. <\/p>\n\n<p>In collaboration with Cadence and <a href=\"https:\/\/bluefins-systems.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">bluefins<\/a> , the paper \u201c<em>Bluefins Wave-Devouring Propulsion System and its CFD Digital Twin<\/em>\u201d has been written as part of an innovative project. We- Sven Albert \u2013 will be presenting Bluefins whale-inspired propulsion system that helps de-carbonize ocean shipping, and how to handle the complex motions in Cadence Fidelity CFD. <\/p>\n\n<p>We look forward to engaging discussions, fresh ideas and the chance to exchange views with international partners and colleagues in Erfurt. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Event Details<\/h2>\n\n<p>Date: 3.- 5. Juni 2026<\/p>\n\n<p>Where: Evangelisches Augustinerkloster zu Erfurt, in Erfurt<\/p>\n\n<p>Innovative L\u00f6sungen auf einer coolen Konferenz!<\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>Bluefins Wave-Devouring Propulsion System and its CFD Digital Twin<\/em><\/h2>\n\n<p>Get a brief insight into the project and paper we will be presenting at HIPER 2026.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Abstract<\/h3>\n\n<p>This paper describes a zero-emissions wave-devouring propulsion system for ships. The WaveDrive system, a whale-inspired propulsion system, consists of a hydrofoil attached to the stern of the ship and converts the pitching motion of the ship into thrust. High-fidelity CFD simulations were performed to support the design of the system and to furnish a hydrodynamic knowledge base for sensor-based control of the system\u2019s motion under various sea
