High-quality surfaces that are defined and controlled by a small number of design variables are a basic prerequisite for efficient optimization.

CAESES®, the CAE software developed by Friendship Systems, enables parametric modeling of any type of functional surface and thus perfectly complements NUMECA’s AutoBlade™. While the focus of AutoBlade™ is on the modeling of turbomachinery, CAESES® can be used to model free-form surfaces such as ship hulls, wind turbine nacelles, spirals, etc.

CAESES® is equipped with interfaces to NUMECA’s FINE™/Marine and FINE™/Design3D. This makes it possible to design ship hulls and seamlessly simulate their flow with FINE™/Marine. Optimizations of hulls or spirals are thus possible with FINE™/Design3D.

Leading turbomachinery design and analysis software companies Concepts NREC and Cadence have entered into a strategic partnership. The aim is to bundle joint competencies in the turbomachinery industry.

Concepts NREC is known for its Agile Engineering Design System®, which includes pre-design modules for all types of turbomachinery.

By combining the core competencies of both companies, the entire design process is covered, from preliminary design to detailed steady-state and/or transient 3D analysis.
