How much automation is reasonable for the post-processing of projects? How can we decide if the time spent on a script is worthwhile?
This question turns on effort and benefit. The more regular tasks are, the more we see the benefits, e.g. saving time and protection from errors. The effort argument loses relevance when automation comes easily, which we are proving today. And with a good database, scripts can also assist with new tasks.
